TIA non-contact infrared thermometer:

TIA NC-9900  is an easy to use electronic infrared thermometer. It measures the body temperature in less than 0.5 seconds from a distance of 2-6 inches (5cm -15 cm). To obtain a precise temperature for newborns, children and adults, simply point at the forehead just below the hairline, on either side. Press the trigger and release, then read the temperature displayed on the LCD screen.

TIA  NC-9900  can also be used to verify the surface temperature of baby's bath, bottle, hot liquids and foods.

  • Introduction:

The TIA NC-9900 no contact thermometer has been developed with the latest infrared technology which allows temporal artery (TA) temperature to be taken at a distance of approximately 2 -6in (5-15cm) from the forehead.

Precise, instantaneous and without contact, the TIA NC-9900 is the most suitable thermometer for no risk temperature measurement. Studies show that TIA temperature measurement is more precise than tympanic (ear) thermometry and far more comfortable and better tolerated than rectal thermometry. (Ref: Greenes D, Fleisher G. Accuracy of a Noninvasive Temporal Artery Thermometer for Use in Infants. Arch Pediatr Adolesc Med 2001;155:376.)

As with all thermometers, the TIA NC-9900 must be used properly in order to obtain reliable and consistent results.

Read ALL instructions and safety precautions prior to use.
